We were so taken by the beauty of the wood carvings telling the Biblical stories, but then, we see all of the stained glass from the 12-15th centuries also depicting the characters and events of the scriptures.
Fortunately, there are explanations of the windows so that we can identify the people and events shown. One could spend many hours here "reading" about Christianity through art.
