Les Baux: The Wedding--First Reception


The minute we left the church, the gypsy band began playing happy music.

The band led the wedding party and festive guests through the ancient streets of Les Baux...

... over cobblestone streets, limestone pebbles, up and up...
(you can see why the bride told the guests ahead to "wear flats" for the hike)

.. up to part of the chateau overlooking the valley below...

the weather was pefect, the music inviting spontaneous dancing, clapping, and singing ...everything a reception for a wedding would want...
 
 

In addition to the music, fun, laughter, talking, there was a spectacular presentation of appetizers and champagne...Not only was there the great cheese wheel Steve is sampling here..and the fresh grilled seafood of various kinds along with beef and chicken...there were tapenades, foie gras, and many other unidentifiable delectables ...
